Radical Islam

Islamists once had a huge empire that stretched from China in the East to Africa in the South and West and Spain to the North. However, this empire began to crash when Europeans began to find other trade routes to China and went into a process of colonialization especially in Africa. The goal of radical Islam is to rebuild this empire through purification of Muslims and destruction of Infidels especially those that they see as dangerous to Muslim sanctity. This puts the United States in the forefront of Radical Islam attacks, not only for promoting Western ideologies but also for our presence in Saudi Arabia, the Islamic homeland.
Unfortunately, Americans are ignorant when it comes to Islam but Radical Islamists are very knowledgeable on the ways of the Western world, many of them getting doctorates and master’s degrees and Western colleges and universities. Although they have a skewed view of the West, they still have insight into Western thinking, for instance knowing that the United States weaknesses, for instance after 8 years of fighting a war Americans will get restless and pull out, while other states like Russia would stay and fight longer. They know that all they have to do is wait America out, giving them an advantage in that Americans do not have any weapons to use against an ideological belief, especially one they know very little about.
With the number one grievance Radical Islam has against the United States being our relationship with Saudi Arabia, the United States must start to reevaluate whether a continued relationship with Saudi Arabia is worth the continual threat of another terrorist attack. Not only because of the threat of attack but also because of the human rights violations that also occur in that country. On the other side, Saudi Arabia does provide the United States with oil (that we could get elsewhere) and also provides us with an alliance in a region that is very hostile towards the West and in particular Americans. Certainly, not all the hostility would be alleviated by us abandoning Saudi Arabia and it may even make an enemy out of Saudi Arabia if we would leave, the state department will have to consider all this as it is a very crucial matter to our nations security.
